Most of the Rain is Gone - Only a Tiny Chance of Rain Remains

Today – High of 70

The ground is wet. Yesterday we got 0.36″ at the airport. Still waiting on official totals, but it looks like Williamson Co got more rain than Davidson.

At 5:44 am this morning, the only rain anywhere close to us was in east Tennessee, moving away:

Last night, the cold front passed through, pushing the overwhelming majority of the rain east of us.

The front did not bring a substantial amount of dry air along, and “abundant low-level moisture” remains in place. This means isolated to scattered showers are possible today, but mostly to our south and east. Our NWS thinks there is a 1 in 5 chance we will see one of these isolated showers, from which we may see 0.01″ of additional rain. Any additional showers should not threaten any outdoor plans. We may even see a bit of the sun. Bring along an umbrella or rain jacket just in case, but otherwise plan on going to your soccer game, Renaissance Festival, Steeplechase, graduation, Fiddlin’ Fish 5K, etc.

Tonight/Overnight a second cold front arrives with a reinforcing shot of cooler air and the potential for more rain. Most models don’t think there will be rain, but the Hi-Res NAM does (see below for Saturday 10pm).

Sunday – 46/65

Clouds slowly leave, setting up what looks to be a tranquil weather week ahead.
