Sunshine Tomorrow

Current Radar

The lack of instability has been our friend today, keeping us from seeing severe weather associated with the rain that has passed through. Here’s what you need to know for the rest of the night.

-We are under a wind advisory until 7 PM:

National Weather Service Watch Warning Advisory Summary - Google Chrome 2016-03-24 16.29.09

A cold front is on the way. It should be here around dark. It’s pushing some small showers our way; after that, the rain will end. We are live-tweeting it at @NashSevereWx on Twitter.

Rest of the Night:

Winds will calm down and skies will clear. Our rain event today was brought on by a cold front, so we will be cooling off. Temps will drop into the 40°s.

Friday: Calmer, Sun Returns – Wake Up 40° High 59°

Winds will calm and sunshine will return for your Friday. Temperatures take a hit, though, after Thursday’s passing cold front.

Temperatures will drop back into the upper 30s overnight but will rebound Saturday. With the temps dropping we may see some frost Saturday morning. Stay tuned

Weekend Outlook: Saturday Looks Great, Sunday Storms Return

Screen Shot 2016-03-24 at 6.52.30 AM

Afternoon model runs did not provide any clarity regarding Sunday storm potential. The GFS model has not looked too impressive – it has rain, yes – but the storm potential looks low. The Euro model run this morning was pro-storm, but the afternoon run was much less stormy. Timing also appears uncertain, although current thinking is that rain and storms will be more likely Easter evening than Easter morning. This will be watched closely tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. We will update frequently.
