Tonight – Rain Slowing Down
This morning’s thunderstorms have escaped east. Rain activity is expected to decrease tonight; only a small chance of an isolated shower remains possible (per HRRR model).
We’ve had a lot of rain this week:
NWS expects “a temporary break tonight through Saturday morning from the more widespread shower and thunderstorm activity that we’ve seen in recent days.” Note that does not mean no more rain through Saturday morning, just that it won’t be as widespread as it has been.
Friday – Chance of Thunderstorms – Wake Up: 60°, High: 79°
Friday morning will begin with the chance for showers and thunderstorms. Below is a look at the NAM 4 KM model at 7 AM.
Still, a pretty low amount.
After noon our rain chances become slight!
Friday night into Saturday morning it appears there will be a lull in rain activity.
Maybe only a light shower for the Sounds’ home opener Friday night:
Saturday – Showers & Thunderstorms – Wake Up: 59°, High: 80°
The chance for showers and thunderstorms will return after a brief timeout.
Shenanigans return Saturday afternoon/evening as a low pressure tacks northeast out of Texas. Below is a look at what the GFS model is showing Saturday afternoon.
The best chance for thunderstorms will occur after noon, and showers will become likely Saturday night into Sunday morning. Sunday looks to be a rainy, and probably stormy, mess. Localized flooding cannot be ruled out.

…Tuesday and Wednesday of next week look to be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60’s/lower 70’s.
