Sunny for Days & Update on Turkey Day

Current Radar

Today – Sunny High: 54°

Since it is Monday I thought I should make this blog more fun by making it FRIENDS themed. Enjoy!

We will continue to stay under a cooler, drier air mass today with temperatures only reaching the low 50s this afternoon.

Sunny conditions across the state due to a surface high pressure moving east. Dew points will remain below 30° through the afternoon.

The surface high will be influencing our southerly wind flow today through Thanksgiving.

Tuesday – Warming Up Waking Up: 31° High: 58°

We are beginning to warm up all thanks to the upper level ridge and surface high pressure. Winds will be out of the south bringing in more moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Dew points will rise into the low to mid 30s throughout the day.

Wednesday – The 60s Return! High: 60°

Clouds will begin to increase Wednesday and southerly winds will be a bit breezy.

There will be a cold front moving east with much drier air behind it. Dew points will still be below 40° by late afternoon on Wednesday.

Thanksgiving – Plot Twist High: 65°

The models are showing a line of showers with possible thunderstorms to develop over Texas and Oklahoma early Thursday morning. These showers will be ahead of a strong cold front. The showers will likely move east into Tennessee late Thursday afternoon into the evening.

Here is what the GFS shows so far:

THURSDAY 6 AM

Keep in mind that the timing of this rain may change. It is still a couple of days away, but we will keep you updated!

Extended: Showers ahead of a cold front will be in the area on Black Friday. It will be much cooler this weekend into the beginning of next week after the frontal boundary has passed.
