A weak cold front is approaching. First thought to be dry, now we think it may be wet. Add that to the chillier-than-we’re-used-to temps, and it may be a bit of a dreary Saturday.
Here are the weather models’ opinions on drizzle/rain ETA, and how much rain we may get.

1 p.m. (GFS). Notice this is just a drizzler, and take heart, the Euro (not shown) says the same thing.

The “best” weather models, the GFS and Euro, think the frontal passage will be mostly dry. Not all the models agree, and you’ve been warned, but I don’t think any of the totals are enough to rain anyone out.
The front will pass quickly, clearing the clouds, allowing a cold shot of air to pour in behind it.

Our NWS has issued a Frost Advisory (Click on “Text Data” tab) between 3 a.m and 7 a.m. Sunday morning. From the Advisory:
“Although the coverage of frost is expected to be mainly restricted to low lying areas . . . tender vegetation in those locations will be subject to potential damage . . . as temperatures late Saturday night fall into the middle 30s.”
Here’s the NAM forecast for 7 a.m. Sunday morning. The white is the middle 30s, pink is freezing. As you can tell, most of us should bottom out in the low 40s.
The rest of the day will be really nice: few clouds, with warming temps.
Next Week
Monday will be nice, but another cold front will arrive Monday night. High temps Tuesday through Friday: 63, 62, 61, 60, with wake-up temps in the low 40s during that time.
