Poor Air Quality Thru Tonight, Isolated Showers Possible Tomorrow

Current Radar

Tonight: Poor Air Quality, Warm – 9 PM 76°

Clouds will be increasing through the remainder of the afternoon as we head into the evening hours. Temps will stay fairly warm and we will still have that frizzy-hair worthy humidity through the night.

Still have a very slight chance of pop-up showers, but recent runs of the HRRR seem to think we will be in the clear through the night with some showers knocking at our doorstep in the early AM tomorrow:

Doubtful to happen, but we will see.

Wednesday: Hot, Isolated T-Storm Possible – Wake Up 64° High 88°

It’s really a “throw your hands in the air and wave ’em like you just don’t care” type of weather pattern that’s setting up. This is (almost) summertime in Nashville, I presume.

Nailing down the timing on any sort of shower or storm for Wednesday is highly challenging. There could be a pop-up storm somewhere in our area during the afternoon, although there may not be. These are called “diurnally driven thunderstorms”, or storms created by daytime heating.

If one or two storms do flare up, they are not expected to reach severe levels.

Thursday: Another Hot One, Isolated T-Storm – Wake Up 67° High 88°

Thursday is a repeat of Wednesday: hot, increasing humidity, and the chance for another isolated storm. Timing is nearly impossible to pin down, so just be prepared for a rain shower if you see a dark cloud headed your way.

Temperatures will be in the upper 80s, so it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to see a 90° reading.
