Chance For More Rain/A Few Storms Overnight

Rain Should Make It Here Overnight, But Will Be Disintegrating

Update: more showers and storms are developing to our southwest once again. There is uncertainty regarding the arrival of rain tonight, but we think prime time is somewhere between 2 AM and 6 AM. These storms could produce heavy downpours but widespread severe weather will stay well to our south. Here’s the latest HRRR model (which has done a nice job recently) on predicting tonight’s rain/storm arrival:

The Storm Prediction Center has us placed under a “Marginal” risk for severe weather (1 on a scale out of 5) pending tonight’s activity:

IMPACTS: Hazards for any strong storms here in Davidson/Williamson counties will include large hail and gusty winds.

Traveling South Tonight?

Update: Stay weather aware, as a potent weather system will bring widespread severe weather from the Gulf Coast all the way to the south Tennessee border. For more information: http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/pwo.html

Lingering Showers/Storms Sunday AM, Rainy PM

Leftover showers and a few storms will cycle through the area during the day on Sunday with moderate-heavy rain at times. Models suggest these storms will remain sub-severe, but one or two could be on the stronger side. We’ll be keeping an eye on it.

You’ll be fishing for the fall/winter clothes again by Monday, considering high temperatures will only reach the low 50s. Rain should be exiting quickly late Sunday and early Monday morning leading to cloudy skies. More sun returns by Tuesday before another wet weather system brings a chance for showers Wednesday afternoon.
