A low pressure disturbance originating from the Texas will begin to impact Middle Tennessee after noon as it moves northeast. The National Weather Service believes that the chance for showers and thunderstorms will ramp up after 2 PM. Below is what the HRRR Model is showing at 3 PM.

The NWS believes that after 8 PM the disturbance will push far enough northeast for rain chances to become likely.

Sunday – The Rain Returns Late – Wake Up: 64°, High: 76°
We will experience a brief lull in the rain on Sunday morning as the low pressure disturbance moves north of Tennessee.

The rain chances pick back up as we head towards noon. Below is a look at the GFS model between 7 AM and 1 PM.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk of severe weather for Nashville.

A line of thunderstorms will push through Middle Tennessee overnight a head of a cold front and produce the chance for hail and damaging winds. Below is what the NAM 12 KM shows at 4 AM.

The forecast timing and severity may change slightly as we approach the event, but we will keep you informed.

Monday – Morning Rain, Afternoon Sun – Wake Up: 61°, High: 66°

We will have lingering showers and thunderstorms for much of the day. The NWS believes that we will begin to clear up after 1 PM and become partly sunny!

By 7 PM the NAM 12 KM model is showing Nashville to be completely rain free.

Between 7 AM Saturday through 7 AM Tuesday the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center believes we will accumulate an additional 0.5″ to 1.75″ of rain.
