Light Rain Returns After Dark, Heavier Rain Late Tonight

Current Radar

Here Comes More Rain

Scattered showers are beginning to be seen on our radar, so don’t be surprised if you get a splash of rain through the remainder of the afternoon into the early evening hours.

We are still anticipating for the more dominant line of showers to move in late this evening.

Latest run of the HRRR shows scattered showers through the evening with a more defined line of showers arriving around the midnight hour.

Any outdoor plans you have tonight should be good to go, you may just get a brief period of showers if one the stray showers goes over you.

The rain from late tonight will likely carry over into the morning hours tomorrow. HRRR is still coming into range for tomorrow morning, but seems to be thinking the rain may exit in the AM. The NAM 4 (below), however, thinks the rain will hang around through the day tomorrow.

Tuesday appears to be fairly wet thanks to a cold front that will be pushing through the area. However, most of the heavier rainfall will be late tonight into early tomorrow morning. With this front, we could see some stronger winds tomorrow with gusts up to 20 mph. We can not rule out a thunderstorm or two, but there does not appear to be any severe weather threat with any thunderstorm we may see.

Temps will be pretty warm today and tomorrow. By Tuesday night, our temps will cool off just a bit back into the mid 40s overnight.

In Between Rain Systems Wednesday? Maybe Some Sunshine

My Forecast - Google Chrome 2017-01-16 06.44.16

I’m not quite sure the last time we saw this picture for a day, it has been a while to say the least.

High pressure is expected to build into the area on Wednesday. The good news is that we may finally see a break in the gloominess and see the sun. Keep your fingers crossed.

*Afternoon Update: Wednesday still looks dry for now, keep crossing those fingers!*

Temps will also be a few degrees cooler than we’ve seen in recent times, but still above seasonal averages for the time of year on Wednesday.

More Rain Wednesday Night Through the Remainder of the Work Week

Our sunny day will be very short lived. By Wednesday night, rain chances re-enter the conversation.

Thursday into Thursday night appears to be the best time frame to see more showers. Depending which model you look at, we could even see some showers into Friday.

Thursday night there is a mention of some thunderstorms possibly developing, but nothing looks severe with those thunderstorms as of right now.

Temps to end the work week will remain well above average, which seems to be the current rut we are in. Highs will remain in the 60s with overnight temps in the 50s.
